Empowerment of PWDs through Strengthened OPDs (EPSO) 2023 - 2026

The objective is to strengthen the organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs) by training, peer learning, practical work, and strengthening networking, and hence improve the persons with disabilities (PWDs) situation in society.

Target groups:

  • Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs)

  • Persons with Disabilities (PWDs)

Target areas:

  • Ulaanbaatar and 15 aimags in Mongolia /15 аймгийг лавлах/

Implementing Partners:

  • Tegsh Tusgal NGO (Equal Light)

  • Resident office of FLOM in Mongolia

Key activities:

  • Peer-learning experience sharing

  • Networking

  • Small-scale projects

  • PWD-led advocacy initiatives

  • PWD-led initiatives and improved co-operation with decision-makers

  • Public awareness-raising activities with the private sector

  • Module training

Outcome 1. Increased capacity of OPDs is leading to improved fulfillment of their purpose to serve PWDs.

Output 1.1 Increased organizational and technical capacity of OPDs.

Output 1.2 More efficient service capacity of OPDs and means of contact to PWDs to ensure that PWDs can identify and defend their own rights and needs.

Output 1.3 Improved networking among OPDs virtually and physically.

Outcome 2. Improved capacity of OPDs to engage and influence public services and processes in a practical level.

Output 2.1 Improved capacity of OPDs to engage with and influence decision-makers.

Output 2.2 Strengthened role of OPDs to advance disability rights.

Outcome 3. Increased advocacy and awareness-raising on disability, PWDs, and OPDs in society at large leading to better informed policies and decisions in the public sector to dismantle the barriers to inclusion.

Output 3.1 Increased skills in advocacy by OPDs.

Output 3.2 Increased actions of public awareness of disability, PWDs, and OPDs.

Impact: Persons with disabilities (PWDs) are empowered through strengthened Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in Mongolia.
